3D Lab

The laboratory provides a number of services in the 3D field. This page presents all possible services, including services that provided in designated research laboratories in the Faculty.

  • The time needed to print 3D model can vary significantly depending on the size of the model and its formal complexity. It can change vary from few hours for a simple model of a few grams and up to a whole day for a complex model consists of hundreds of grams.
  • To make an appointment for printing students need to make sure that the model is “water tight” and then send the STL file to the Lab’s manager in order to get price offer. Please save a copy for Rhino supported files in needs for repairs and adjustments. Print at Alaris 30 ObjetPrint in gypsumPrint PLA at Um2+Research Printers

The printer prints a white polymer material. Printer’s tray size is 30 cm long, 20 cm wide and 15 cm high. Printing accuracy is about 0.1 to 0.2 mm.

The printer-ZPrinter 350 prints plaster-like material. White only.

Tray size is 25.4 cm long, 20.3 cm wide and 20.3 cm high. Resolution is 300X450 dpi.

The printer-Ultimaker 2+ use FDM Technology to prints  PLA material which naturally degrades and comes in a variety of colors.

The maximum recommended tray size is 20 cm long, 20 cm wide and 20 cm high.

Printing accuracy varies depending on the printhead and other parameters that can be changed.
